Customer Alignment: SMP engages in strategic discussions with our clients to develop a full understanding of the company's strategic plans, organizational strengths (and/or shortcomings), core competencies, growth plans and desired outcomes.

Industry Analysis: SMP provides an overview of the competitive landscape in the client's industry. Information from industry trade publications, trade associations, market intelligence and other publicly available resources will be gathered, organized and presented to our clients.

Market Assessment: Within the framework & guidelines SMP researches possible target markets & customers that are aligned with the client's strategic goals. The research comes in the form of market analysis, computer generated SIC code research and telephone interviews with specific targeted customers.

Marketing Presence: SMP will support the clients efforts to develop promotional materials that are designed to communicate the company's message in a desired manner. These materials will include a plan to tailor an overarching strategy that will convey the company's mission and message consistently through all appropriate forms of communication media: website, email communications, direct mail communications, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, tag lines, etc.

The Solution

SMP delivers a report to the client that will provide direction to their sales team; targeting those markets and customers that will offer the best chance for sales success and ultimately, profitable sales growth. The collection of meaningful sales leads will create legitimate opportunities for sales success in new, previously untapped markets. Marketing Presence: The development of a branding strategy which is consistent with the company's capabilities and objectives. Management of the appropriate communications plan will cultivate the company's prospects and initiate the sales process in proper circumstances that will yield the highest return of the invested effort.
